Does checking your credit score affect your score?

Checking your own credit score will not affect it whatsoever. When you check your own score, you are doing what is known as a “soft” pull on your report. This transaction is usually reported on your credit report, but does not affect your score.

You can check your credit score (from all three bureaus) at MyFico. The only place I’d recommend to check your FICO or credit score.
