not moving yet

by debt kid on May 17, 2007

Just got an update from my real estate agent about the Short Sale. The good news is that I won’t be moving to the office quite yet! Bad news…still no approval on short sale. Foreclosure auction is in August.

The e-mail:

I spoke to Green point earlier today. The person that is in charge of the file still has not gotten a hold of the investor that makes the final approval. You wouldn’t be able to close the end of this month at all. The earliest you could close is the end of June. That could change if I don’t get the full approval by the end of May. So, to answer your question you can plan on staying with the possibility that this could push over to the end of June. I will let you know if anything changes.

What’s the harm of just let the house go into foreclosure? You’ll get couple more months of living there right?

allowing the house to go into foreclosure would be terrible for his credit. what is the point of avoiding bankruptcy, yet still having a foreclosure? the best possible resolution to this situation is to avoid both (obviously), otherwise his credit line will be shot for seven years (which really wouldn’t be the end of the world for someone this young).

good luck man, it looks like you are getting close to the point at which you’ll hit rock bottom and start coming back up.

I thought being deliquent on mortgage and bills would already put your score in the mid 400s? How much worse can it get if it goes from 450 to 420?

Good luck debtkid.
