I have about 58k worth of debt, but good thing for me is that I have great credit and lots of credit line open that allows me to juggle with transferring balances. Once you're caught up, you can look back with relief. I know because I've gotten on my own debt payment plan. (Not through a counseling agency, but I'm working through it myself.) It really hurts every month to make those payments, but once it's made and I see the balance drop significantly, it feels so much better to have done it. Keep at it, you'll get there eventually. Well, look at it this way: It may be painful now, but it’s actually going to help more than it hurts in the long run. Once you’re caught up, you can look back with relief.
