$25 Bonus - Lending Club

Lending Club $25 Sign-Up Bonus - Help A (Debt)Kid Out

Update 1/16 - $400 earned so far! Sign up now and get your $25 bonus!
Update 1/26 - $600 earned so far! Almost there!

Lending Club has announced a very generous new bonus program. You’ll receive a $25 credit in your lending account when you signup through my little link here.

I’ve been writing and doing some consulting work for Lending Club since the summer now. It’s been a great experience. Without this side job I’d probably still be living in my office. Take a look at my most recent article about cheap date ideas (it even made the digg homepage! wohoo!).

When you signup using this link, not only will you receive a $25 bonus, but I will too!

Emergency Fund Savings

I’m trying to save up $1000 for a personal emergency fund by the end of January. I’ll pledge to put every $25 referral I earn from this into that fund. Any amounts over $1000 I’ll be putting towards my most pressing debt (IRS at the moment). Please sign-up and I’ll keep a running tab of my referrals/fund amount in the comments section below.

Current Emergency Fund Balance: $250.05

Please please please go back to your old format. I really don’t like the cartoon character and new layout. Sorry.

DK, I notice your tag line at the top says: “”My Current Goal: Save $1000 in Emergency Fund with $25 Bonuses From Lending Club.” I does not look like you plan to, but remember to not invest the money you earn through the affiliate program with P2P loans at lending club. P2P loans are not liquid so they make a poor emergency fund. If you want an emergency fund, either leave it in cash at lending club or withdraw it. Removing it would be better since Lending Club does not offer interest on money waiting to be invested. An emergency fund is one of the five prerequisites to P2P lending. Also, if someone signs up through your link, you will receive $50 if they sign up as a lender and first fund their account with $1,000 (reference). Good luck with the emergency fund!

Thanks PLP! Good points. I will take any referral monies and put in my savings account. Once I have that built up, I’d like to start investing some loans at Lending Club.

Hey Thanks Jonathan! I’ve already gotten a few referrals. It’s a cool program.

If you’ve already gotten a few refs off of this list then why is your balance still $2.91?
