Does anyone know of a handy widget (something I could install on the blog here) that I could track my debt with? Something that’s easy to use and update?

The NetworthIQ badge?
Would you mind if I link to your short sale article?
I might even link to your blog….if thats okay?
I had a very hard time finding contact info on you “contact me” kind of thing, thats why I am leaving a reply here. Contact me via e mail please??
Yep, the NetWorthIQ badge would work great. And it’s a great site to learn stuff from as well as track your current finances.
BTW, I’ve noticed you’re struggling lately and wanted to say be of good cheer. You’ve got all the tools you need to turn this around. And I say this as someone who teetered on the edge of insolvency for years before I finally got my stuff together.
We’re In Debt has a tutorial for creating a sidebar tracking widget like you are referring to I think. I haven’t tried it but it looks easy enough.

I guess I am curious on what you are trying to keep track of. Do you want to compare your starting debt with current debt? Are you trying to track how much you have paid off? A lot of people use a Debt O Meter type of thing where it has starting, current, and paid off amounts. The one on my blog also had a progress bar I added to give myself some visual motivation to keep me going because numbers only say so much. I’m a web application developer and never though about turning something like that into a plug-in. This might be a side project I could work on in my free time.
