Leptopril is diet pill solution that is made specifically for obese and ‘significantly overweight’ individuals (that is, those individuals with 20 pounds more than the desired or allowable body weight). It is the cheaper counterpart of the brand Leptoprin. It markets itself as the complete fat burner. It promises results the fastest and easiest way.

It is not new in the weight loss dietary supplements market to make improbable claims and fabricate information just so to create hype, get attention and advertise themselves. This is business, of course. And Leptopril is a part of this bandwagon. On June 16, 2004, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), in an administrative complaint, announced that the maker of this supplement violates the FTC Act by: 1) claiming that Daniel B. Mowrey, Ph.D, is a medical doctor, 2) claiming they have clinically tested their product and its efficacy and 3) making unverified weight loss claims.

Leptopril Scam?

Among its waterloos, which, in fact is the same with other supplements, is its lack of the actual list and amount of ingredients it contains. With this, we could also conclude why it lacks the approval of the Food and Drug Authority. Contents should be properly and validly quantified to make sure that they produce the desired effect. Also, this is a very critical aspect of any drug because the exact amount of the content are needed in order to determine the side effects the product is capable of producing.

In the end, it would still be highly advisable for those who are significantly overweight to consult with their personal doctor if diet and exercise has not helped them to lose weight instead of just purchasing a weight loss pill that promises an instant miracle. If you are a dieter who chooses to use weight loss supplements, look for those that can back up their claims with scientific proof by way of scientific clinical trials.
