Business Credit Cards

Business credit cards are usually the easiest and best way to begin building credit for your business. They can also provide much needed cash flow, or startup money when you are bootstrapping a business.

Getting approved for business credit cards is similar to getting approved for personal credit cards. The underwriters want to see a business that has been established for some time. Having a phsycial, non-work from home address, usually helps as well. Your EIN (employer identification number) should have been established for at least two years.

If you can’t meet those minimums, you’ll likely have trouble getting a business credit card, except for maybe a business gas card (with a $500 credit line). Anyone can get a business gas card. Well, pretty much.
