Wells Fargo acquired Wachovia last year (2008), and it’s no surprise their CD Rate products have very similar yields. I used to use Wells Fargo for both my business and personal checking needs. I’ve since moved to Bank of America but I use a high yield savings account for my cash now.
I have no against Wells Fargo. Their rates seem pretty standard for the big traditional bank that they are. You must have $5,000 to open a Wells Fargo CD. See also current Wells Fargo mortgage rates.

Wells fargo bank is the worst bank to have a cd acct….allow fraud in my case of my father…did not respond to my fathers results…which leads to a law suit. did bother to return a call or do an investigation on the cd acct my grandmother left my father and myself
