Wachovia was acquired by Wells Fargo in the hysteria that was 2008. Their CD (Certificate of Deposit) products seem to still be under the Wachovia brand however. This page deals with fixed rates CD’s from Wachovia. I would look at a high yield account though vs. a CD.
One thing to note: Their $5,000 minimum deposit is higher than most other traditional banks. You also much have a Wachovia checking account to open a CD product.
