Citibank CD Rates

Citibank has taken a ton of heat in the last year. So how do their CD Rates stack up? Not bad actually. They offer a ton of different terms., way more than say Wachovia or Wells Fargo. CD’s are “locked up” money, so you can’t withdrawal without penalty before the term date. I prefer a high yield savings account.
Minimum Deposit Note: Citibank has a much lower minimum deposit requirement for their CD products than most large banks. Only $500 vs $5,000 for say Wells Fargo or a $1000 for Bank of America. Nice. See also current Citibank Mortgage rates.
