Ally Bank, who has been spending heavily on advertising both online, and offline, is a rebranding of the old GMAC bank.

The good news is that their rates are fantastic. You can open an account completely online in just a few minutes.

Best of all: No minimum deposit for their CDs. No other major bank is doing this. I prefer their high yield savings account however.

Please provide the info on Ally banks in Woburn MA.

matt wayman October 22, 2009 at 4:15 pm: I have been doing business with ally bank for a few months now.. I love their rates. higher than emigrant direct and hsbcdirect, which I have both of. (but now very little moved it to allybank).. I like the fast transfer of funds. did one last night and it was posted to my account today before money was actually taken out of my checking account.. also like the compounded daily instead of monthly like hsbc is..

take the chance they are great.
