It works out fine and we get to rent just released to DVD movies and pay nothing for it. My kids got accustomed to it after a couple of weeks, although watch as much TV as they can when they go to their uncle's house. We are almost out of debt (except for the house) but we are not sure if we want to pay for cable, it has been better for the family without it. The fastest way to pay off debt is to make more money and use that money to pay your bills. Getting a second job is one of the best ways to do this. I have been doing everything on the list except for the first! Talk about denial (which I think goes along with tip #6). I thought I knew how much debt we had, and it was sobering to see it written down and then totaled up. But very motivating as well. Great tips.
